Glossary
Quick reference for the terms used across the viewer.
Methodology status
live
Callable today. For most kinds a generated calculator exists; for compositions, the umbrella resolves at call time by walking its components. Available via the kind-specific endpoint (/v1/calculate, /v1/lookup, /v1/frameworks, /v1/registries).
planned
Recognised as a real methodology and queued for extraction. The calculator package is not yet generated. The methodology will land automatically once the extract step succeeds with high confidence.
candidate
Recognised as a target for extraction but not yet started. Indicative roadmap entry.
reference
Tracked for graph completeness only. Informational, not on the extraction path.
Edge types (dependency tree)
Edge grounding
Every dependency in the graph is grounded in a source reading or a documented structural relationship between standards. None are model assumptions. Open "why this edge exists" on any edge to see its basis: the explanation, the proof (a source passage where one exists), the linked methodologies, and when it was established. The three bases below are different kinds of grounding, not a ranking.
Stated in the source
A model re-read the published source and confirmed the text states this dependency. The confirmed passage is shown in the panel.
Identified from the source
Identified from the source material when the methodology was processed. The source is linked where available.
How these standards are organized
A documented organizational relationship between standards (for example, a registry's project protocols operating under its core framework), direction-checked against the program structure.
Compliance regimes. CBAM, EU ETS, regulated mandatory schemes.
Layer card chips
V / R / B
Methodology mode: Voluntary, Regulatory (binding), or Both (a voluntary standard adopted by a regulator).
mature / active / emerging / greenfield
Adoption stage: how broadly the methodology is used today.
formula / lookup / composition / framework / registry
Methodology kind: callable formula, lookup table (also called a dataset in older docs, typically emission factors, GWPs, or fuel properties; the underlying data is exposed as a factor set), umbrella composition with named components, framework spec, or registry rules.
